Investments in modernization of our energetic economy

Goal of the project was to improve the efficiency of our company´s energetic economy as proposed by an energetic audit. To be specific, it comprised dissolution of the old boiler-house and its replacement by a new source for combined production of heat and electric energy. Further investments were directed at replacement of the steam-to-water exchanger for a combined gas kettle, renewal of isolations, installing new air conditioning, decentralization of heating in objects no. 411 and 428 and replacement of wire glasses for polycarbonate boards on the PS3 building. The project was launched on April 1st 2006 and finished on June 30th 2007. Its total costs reached 29,024,000 CZK (c. 1.075 mil. EUR), 8,068,000 of which was covered by a grant. The most significant achievements of the project were substantial savings on energy consumption and finances and massive decreasing of CO2 emissions by 1208 t/year and of NOx by 0,85 t/year which had a positive effect on living environment.
